November 17, 2025
Two children were rescued from a burning rowhouse in D.C. on Friday morning, and authorities say their closed bedroom door protected them from more serious injuries.
D.C. Fire and EMS rushed to a home after a 911 call about a fire with people trapped. Firefighters forced their way inside and saved a 5-year-old and 16-year-old who were trapped inside a bedroom. Both children and their father were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
