When Jordan Pearson joined UL Research Institutes' Fire Safety Research Institute as a multimedia intern in January 2023, he quickly proved himself to be a pivotal member of the Digital and Media Production team. Bringing his diligent attitude and talent for virtual production and animation, Jordan was able to expand the team’s capabilities, and foster a space for video & digital creation and his passions to coexist.
"I love blending the arts and technology together so interactive media has always been my outlet to do so. This team is not only talented and experienced, but inspirational in allowing me the opportunity to explore my creative side and take chances. It means a lot to know that what I work on also makes a difference in the lives of those who enter the fire service.” Jordan said. “I hope one day to bring my passions for this field in new creative ways for ULRI’s Fire Safety Research Institute.”
While Jordan’s responsibilities included media management within Vimeo and Brandfolder, editing B-roll footage, assisting production on set, and creating 3D animation and renders for ULRI’s Fire Safety Research Institute Instructional Design Courses, he went above and beyond the typical intern experience to ensure both he and ULRI’s Fire Safety Research Institute got the most out of this internship. Working beyond his initial duties, Jordan proved invaluable to the ULRI’s Fire Safety Research Institute amplification team so much that he has been invited to join the team full-time as a Senior Multimedia Design Coordinator.
We're thrilled to be having Jordan join us full-time. He’s enhanced the educational experiences ULRI’s Fire Safety Research Institute offers with his skills such as 3D animation and increased experiences. His hunger and passion for learning is infectious and drives him to be an integral part of the team.

He will continue to support past projects, but on a larger scale as well as fulfill additional roles of an industry Production Assistant. "The ULRI’s Fire Safety Research Institute Multimedia internship taught me first and foremost that video and digital creation is a craft that takes time to master and something that requires patience, high attention to detail and above all - quality”, said Jordan.
Jordan earned his Bachelors of Science in game development and programming from Southern New Hampshire University in 2021.
