Now Available: On Demand Access to Modernizing the U.S. Fire Data System - An Introduction to the National Emergency Response Information System
On July 13, 2023, the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Science and Technology Directorate, the Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), part of UL Research Institutes, and the U.S. Fire Administration (USFA) co-hosted a virtual discussion with Q&A to share the vision, purpose, and impact of the new National Emergency Response Information System (NERIS).
During the session, organization leaders provided information about the NERIS platform itself, the new data standard on which it will be based, and the approach to development, along with key milestones and timing. Viewers also had the opportunity to ask questions about NERIS.
