In Episode 13, check out UL FSRI’s Keith Stakes as he discusses discusses the impact of opening the front door as it relates to ventilating the structure:
Forcing the front door needs to be considered in the same way as any other form of horizontal ventilation. When a door is opened for firefighter entry, it is also opened for airflow and can create a new flow path for the fire. Coordination of forcing the door and suppression is key.
