
FSRI Welcomes New Laboratory Technician - Steven Maxwell Marino
As a Laboratory Technician with the Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), part of UL Research Institutes, Steven "Max" Marino assists the team in both bench and full-scale research, with fabrication and instrumentation, cone calorimeter operations, and drone piloting among other day-to day-duties. Prior to joining FSRI, he was a volunteer firefighter and interned as a fire investigator in the private sector. Max holds a Bachelor’s in Fire Science with a concentration in Fire and Arson Investigation, and a Minor in Criminal Justice as well as a Master’s in Fire & Explosion Investigation from the University of New Haven. While completing his education, he worked as a graduate assistant with the responsibilities running fire labs, lecturing, and developing curriculum.
