FSRI Welcomes New Engineering Intern - Kaylee Morton

Kaylee Morton is an engineering intern at UL’s Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI). Kaylee received her bachelor’s degree in chemistry from the University of Wisconsin- La Crosse in 2021. She recently graduated with her master’s degree in forensic science from Marshall University, where she conducted research for the use of alternate light sources in the detection of ignitable liquid residues on burned materials. Kaylee previously worked as an intern for the Fire Marshal’s Office at the Huntington Fire Department in Huntington, West Virginia. Her primary roles included testing fire debris evidence for the presence of ignitable liquids and assisting with fire investigations.
