FSRI Welcomes Full-Time Instructional Design Specialist
Meet our Instructional Design Specialist - Leeanne Poist
Leeanne Poist is an Instructional Design Specialist for the Fire Safety Research Insitute (FSRI), part of UL Research Institutes. For the last two years, Leeanne has served on the FSRI team as a part-time Instructional Design Associate. She holds a Bachelor’s of Science in Community Health Education from Towson University and a Master’s of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Global Campus. She also earned a Graduate Certificate in Instructional Design and eLearning from the University of Maryland Baltimore Campus/University of Maryland Global Campus. Before joining FSRI, Leeanne spent over eleven years as an Industrial Training Specialist and Instructional Designer at the University of Maryland, Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI). Prior to MFRI, she worked for a CPR and AED training company as the Training Coordinator/Lead Instructor. Leeanne has been a member of the fire service since 1997 and served many years as an EMT with the Sandy Spring Volunteer Fire Department where she is currently a Life Member.
