Michelle Sauer is a Senior Training and Education Coordinator for the Fire Safety Research Institute (FSRI), part of UL Research Institutes. She graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park with a bachelor’s degree in Secondary Education and English. She has also earned graduate credits from Towson University in Special Education. Prior to FSRI, she worked as a middle school English teacher in Montgomery County Public Schools (MD) where she also acted as the planning team leader with her fellow grade-level English teachers. Michelle was born in Virginia, but as a military child, she lived all over the country and world before settling in Maryland.
