Erich Roden is a 29 year veteran of the fire service and a Deputy Chief with the City of Milwaukee Fire Department, assigned to Operations. He is a former editor-in-chief for FireRescue and Urban Firefighter Magazine, and has been a national fire service instructor and author for over twenty years. He has served on numerous fire service and educational advisory boards, an advocate of data analytics in the fire service, and is currently working with stakeholders, engineers and developers in the Built Environment Industry on policy development of Mass-Timber Construction. He has a Master of Science from the University of Wisconsin-Stout.
